I started helping my father on the land when I was ten. When he died, I moved back to Burkina Faso with my mother and brothers and sisters.
Sometimes I dream about being a journalist. But I haven’t been to school very much. Now I’m training to be a tailor.
If I have children, I hope they won’t have to work on a cocoa plantation. I want them to be able to go to school, and to learn a different trade from me. Doctor, for example.

Who are the children who harvest the cocoa for our chocolate in West Africa? What was their life like? What dreams about the future do they cherish? Fifteen of them tell their stories in this exhibition.
For every ticket of the exhibition or copy of the book sold, a contribution will be made to GRADE-FRB’s rehabilitation shelter for former child labourers.
