I was ten when I came to work on the plantation.
I didn’t mind; I was just happy to be earning some money for my parents.

My friends worked on the plantation too. I didn’t want my parents to take me home. It may sound strange, but I didn’t want to leave my friends.
Now I’m learning to be a tailor. I want to be a stylist. Then I want to live in New York with my wife and children. I’ll make a suit for the American president. That’s my dream.

Who are the children who harvest the cocoa for our chocolate in West Africa? What was their life like? What dreams about the future do they cherish? Fifteen of them tell their stories in this exhibition.
For every ticket of the exhibition or copy of the book sold, a contribution will be made to GRADE-FRB’s rehabilitation shelter for former child labourers.
